  1. Sheila, I think what you mention about the Holy Spirit and the fruit of His Spirit is so right on. If we all focused on living out those characteristics, we would be far better off. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I am finding that there is a lot that God can say to me through Ephesians. Some things that several of the verses highlight for me (Ephesians 1:3) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” and (Ephesians 1:18) “I also pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” God has already given me “every spiritual blessing in Christ” and there is His “incomparably great power” for me when I believe. This should change my life in amazing ways and if it isn’t then I should be praying like Paul that the eyes of my heart will be enlightened to what that means and should look like in my life here and now. Some good hints are that Paul talks about believers being sealed with Holy Spirit of promise and not only does that guarantee me an inheritance of the future-heaven and everlasting life, but here and now those “fruits of the Spirit”-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, humbleness, and self-control.
